Ben 10: Alien Force – Vilgax Attacks

Third Ben 10 game, based on Alien Force's second season.

Ben 10: Alien Force – Vilgax Attacks

Ben 10: Alien Force – Vilgax Attacks, released on October 27, 2009, is the third installment in the Ben 10 video game franchise and the second title adapted from the Ben 10: Alien Force television series. While the first game covered the show’s first two seasons, this entry focuses on the second season.

In the story, Vilgax launches an invasion of Earth using a massive Null Void projector. To prevent this, Professor Paradox sends Ben Tennyson, his cousin Gwen, and their friend Kevin Levin back in time. Their mission is to stop Vilgax from gathering the power source needed for his projector. With assistance from Max Tennyson and the alien Ship, the group travels across the galaxy to thwart Vilgax’s scheme.

The gameplay draws from the Cartoon Network series, where protagonist Ben Tennyson uses the Omnitrix—a device that lets him transform into various aliens, each with distinct powers. Players engage in action and puzzle-solving, relying on the abilities of these alien forms. Ben can perform combos and special attacks, and by defeating enemies and collecting glowing energy spheres, he unlocks new skills. Each alien form’s abilities drain the Omnitrix’s energy meter, which must be recharged before reuse.

Papaya Studio developed the game, with D3 Publisher handling publishing duties. It was announced in May 2009 for a fall release in North America. It launched on the same platforms as its predecessors, with the addition of the Xbox 360.

According to the review aggregator Metacritic, Vilgax Attacks received “mixed or average” reviews.
