Ben 10: Omniverse (video game)

Ben 10: Omniverse is an action game based on the TV series of the same name. It was developed by Vicious Cycle Software, with D3 Publisher handling the North American release and Namco Bandai Games publishing it in Europe and Australia. The game came out in November 2012 on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo DS, Nintendo 3DS, Wii, and Wii U. Digital versions were later offered on the Wii U's Nintendo eShop, the PlayStation Store for PS3, and Xbox Live Arcade for Xbox 360 in North America and Europe starting December 11, 2012. A follow-up, Ben 10: Omniverse 2, arrived in November 2013, developed by High Voltage Software and published by D3 Publisher globally.

The gameplay is single-player in the main campaign, with co-op available only in Challenge mode. Player one controls Ben Tennyson, switching between his younger and older versions. Ben can access 10 unlockable alien forms in the console versions but can only transform into four at a time, which can be swapped out. Rook Blonko is not playable in the main story. Players solve puzzles and defeat waves of enemies to progress, and they can interact with objects by opening or dragging them. Each player has a health bar shown as a green line that decreases when attacked or hit by hazards. There’s also an Omnitrix or Proto-Tool power meter that, when empty, prevents transformation or weapon use until it recharges. An experience bar, indicated by a red line, tracks total experience used to upgrade Ben’s aliens and Rook’s Proto-Tool varieties, unlocking new special combos. Health and power are restored by collecting special orbs called "Pick-Ups," which drop from defeated enemies, broken objects, or secret areas. Save points allow players to save progress. In co-op mode, if a player dies or strays too far from the other for too long, they respawn after a few seconds. Boss battles feature quick-time events where players must press a sequence of buttons when bosses are weak; missing causes the boss to counter, requiring another attempt. The Extras section lets players use cheats by combining a specific sequence of five aliens and characters to unlock new features.
